Processing takes place in a plunging and pulling movement with a high feed, providing optimal machining performance with conical barrel cutters (circle segment or parabolic cutters), says the company. The 5-axis Prismatic Fillet Finishing module can be used in accordance with the principle of a high-feed milling cutter because of the geometry and automatic setting of the barrel cutter. Updates to the CAD/CAM software include process optimisations as well as functions for reducing calculation times.
Open Mind has released HyperMill 2019.1 with an expanded finishing module in the HyperMill Maxx Machining performance package. CAD/CAM updates expand finishing functions and ease job management.
